Problem:
There are two Oracle databases, one of them gives “Page Not Found” when accessed from Oracle Enterprise Manager. This server was upgraded from Windows 2000 and Oracle 9i.

Solution:
pre-requisites:
SYS, SYSMAN, and DBSNMP password. Oracle_SID, and Listener port number.

Steps:
Drop existing EM configuration:
C:\Data> set ORACLE_SID=
C:\Data> emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop

Recreate the EM environment:
C:\Data> emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create

Note: if the above steps is failed, you might need to drop SYSMAN user manually before continue. Refer to here for more information. In my case, I do not need to drop the SYSMAN.

Once it completed, you will find a new shortcut for the EM in the Start -> Program Files -> Oracle Orahome

If your user unable to log on to database using EM with the following Error message:
“The application requires more database privileges than you have currently been granted. Click on Help to get more version specific information.”

Add the following role to that user:
- SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
- SELECT ANY DICTIONARY

Hello Ubuntu 9.04..

Formerly Tamansari was a recreation garden or a resting house for the Sultan and Family. The other resting houses including Warungboto, Manukberi, Ambarbingun, and Ambarrukmo functioned for the vacation and meditation for the royal family. The other function is used as hiding place for royal family to defend against the enemy assault.

Tamansari is located about 2 km south of Yogyakarta Palace. Built by Portuguese architect in European aquatic construction adorned with Javanese Symbolize ornaments. Tamansari was built in the Sultan Hamengku Buwono I period in the end of XVII Century. Tamansari not only just a recreation, but it’s also a compound of bathing pool, canals, rooms and extremerly large swimming pool (if the canals opened).

1. A measurement of how far a person shifts from a starting point to a certain point onward, in a timely manner. Note:
Most of the time variables of difficult conditions are personal, or only known internally by the particular person, thus success measurement from external point of view most of the time is subjective and arguable. How much time it takes to arrive at a certain point usually matters.

Another bias happens when observer mixed a person’s success with community general standard of success.

Definition no.3 is free from difficult condition variables; you define it then you must achieve it, no achievement then no success, no matter how difficult is your condition.

When we are not plan for something, yet it came to us, then it is not a success, it is merely a gift.

Just return from a site in East Kalimantan, some hundred kilometer from Balikpapan. Around one hour of travelling by boat, we take a rent car from Handil, and go onward to Balikpapan.

Still around Handil , we had a flat tire. Strugling for one hour to put the spare tire, just to find out that the spare tire also flat. Finally we wait for replacement car and continue two hours of travelling by road.

Just around 45 minutes before we reach Balikpapan, we passed a bridge with so many fisherman boats.

I can’t resists it, and stop by to take some pictures. Great view, and I had a good feeling that linger, even when we were running out of gasoline and get into another problem to reach the hotel afterward.

Last week I talked to my friend, and our conversation lead us to online payment method, and he said that he could use his Credit Card from Niaga Bank to verify his Paypal account.

Later on I also open a Paypal account and use my Citibank Credit Card for verification.
The verification methods is as follow: Paypal will charge for USD 1.95 , and provide 4 digits unique number in their billing statement to us. This 4 digits number then be used to verify our Paypal account. After successful verification, Paypal will return back our money.

In a couple days I received the billing statement from Paypal in my credit card account (I check using Internet Banking facility), then I go to my account on Paypal insert the 4 digits unique number there, and instantly I become a verified Paypal user with personal account type.

After a few days, when I login to Paypal, I see that I received bonus of USD 1.95 from Paypal. This nominal resides on my Paypal fund. Looks like that is how they return back the charge

To withdraw money from your Paypal personal account there are two ways; withdraw to your credit card account or withdraw to your Bank account. If you want to withdraw to your Indonesian credit cards, there is a USD 5 costs. You could also set up your bank account as your withdrawal destination. If you withdraw for amount of more than Rp.1.500.000 there is no withdrawal costs.

It never happen, we only screw around for maybe a month or two, it was my wife who works around creating themes and some product catalogues, also put some writing there, but that was all, Until the domain and hosting registration finally expired.

Very very late root cause analysis had been held today regarding that past situation. We agreed that it was caused by lack of our online time. During that time we haven’t got any affordable internet connection that could be used to do things conveniently. Now we are using an unlimited internet access from Telkomsel Flash, and having a quite good browsing experiences with it.

Just this week our friend told us about a free hosting and free domain. We then register and found we like it.

The hosting www.000webhost.com provides decent space and bandwidth without requires us to put any promotion media on our website. However they politely asks the users if they could support the company by telling others about the free services. They provide you with a familiar control panel with everything you need, file transfer tools, Fantastico Auto Installer, mySQL database and many more.

The free domain www.co.cc give us a quite good name like www.suryosucipto.co.cc or www.febrilianita.co.cc.

So we start again digging out our knowledge around web environment setup and development. I wonder and would like to see how far this free services and the unlimited internet access could bring us this time .

Will we able to starts our Online IT services shop in near future? or we will end up like our first trial? we shall see. For now I use the free website as a RSS Feed Aggregator for this wordpress blog.

Here’s a quick how-to.

1. Enable Aggregator Module
From Home > Administer > Site Building > Module
Check on the Aggregator Check box and Save Configuration

2. Configure Aggregator Feed
From Administer Main Page, Select Administer By module, on the Upper site of the Administer Page.
Find Aggregator Module and click Feed Aggregator
Add Category, Add Feed, and Adjust Setting to feed your needs.

3. Configure Aggregator Permission.
From Administer Main Page, Select Administer By module, on the Upper site of the Administer Page.
Find Aggregator Module and click Permission
On the Aggregator Module, “Access New Feed”, check both Anonymous User And Authenticated User.
Then Save Permission

4. Configure Aggregator as your Drupal Main Page (optional).
From Administer – Site Configuration – Site Information, find the “Default Front Page” text box, and put ‘aggregator’ in the box, then Save Configuration.

We also need to configure the Cron job so the feed update schedule is run as per our request. Let’s discuss this separately. Meanwhile you could run the cron job manually from Status Report Page.

This customer sounding, at least cause by one of the following; the product is exceeding customer expectation, an excellence customer support, it is an innovative product, or just because the product is different in a good way.

Now let’s change the word ‘product’ in above sentences with ‘person’. Would you able to make your satisfied colleagues and customers, not only satisfied with your professional services but also sounds their satisfaction?

Been using Huawei E220 for around 1 month, I could say that this modem does its function well. No issue related to hardware. The installation process completed with auto-run in Windows Operating System, no need any installation CD, just plug the modem to any USB port and it will prompt you to start the software installation.

The connection is stable, however it depends on your network provider as well. in my home area, around Pangkalan Jati, Kalimalang. It could run very well for nights and days, without any need of reconnection.

This modem was launched back in 2006. Maximum speed is 3.6 Mbps, you could set this modem to use 3G only signal, or 3G prefered if you are not sure you will get a good reception of 3G signal.

Bought it for Rp.1.450.000 in a store at ITC Kuningan Jakarta, I am surprise to see this modem sold for Rp.1.250.000 at a small computer store in Palembang .

I use this modem along with Telkomsel Flash Unlimited Package which has virtually unlimited capacity but with limited maximum speed of 256Kbps (up to 3Gb per-month, before the speed is reduced to 64Kbps).

Connection of max 256Kbps is quite decent for me, allows me to check web mail, update anti virus, connect to my company VPN – Virtual Private Network, and do some downloads (never yet try to download big files though). However because the speed limitation of Telkom Flash unlimited package, I have never test the maximum speed of this modem.

I have tested this modem along with Telkomsel Flash in area of Kalimalang Jakarta (HSDPA connection – Very Good), Kuningan Jakarta (HSDPA connection – Very Good), Plaju – Palembang (HSDPA connection – not to good, some re-connection needed, sometime could not connect), Tuban – East Java (EDGE connection, but stable).

The whole body of this modem is plastics. There is no lock on the SIM card port, so you need to be careful not to drop this modem to the floor. It might spit out your SIM Card. Also don’t step on it, I believe it will break a part.

If you are a mobile person who need a notebook computer to work and be online, or you need a HSDPA modem which you could use on your home PC and notebook computer; and you just can’t rely on with your HSDPA smartphone for some reasons, I recommends Huawei E220.

Sikorsky S-76 I recognized as a very stable chopper, take-off process and landing in offshore platform is smooth. However from the interior you could see sign of aging, you could also feels that the chopper had been there for some time from the looks of the cockpit instrument. But there are no complain there, all working fine, and the pilots for those chopper are very capable.

EC-155B has an impressive build, looks durable and light, the flight instrument are modern and sophisticated. However the process of take off and landing are not as smooth as Sikorsky S-76. A noticeable vibration is always presents during take-off and a lot more when this chopper approaching platform for landing.

It’s been almost 2 month after my last time with EC-155B when I return to site again. Then I feel the vibration is not disturbing me anymore. I still can feel the vibration, but it just feels OK. It wonders me, how fast my body forget the stability and a very confident feeling I have on a ride with Sikorsky S-76.

Maybe that’s what our body always do, make a quick adjustment to suit our environment. But fortunately (or unfortunately?) our mind takes more time to forget.

I am longing to ride again the S-76, my all time favorite chopper.

As genes are transforming past experiences to the new being, there will be some variables that has been there since we were born, however as gene it self dynamically mutates by environment, then present environment will have its influences to change the next genes. Therefore be in the right environment play important part in survival.

A man does mutates either in the physical form or in behavior. A successful person could be said has been successfully suits his environment. If a man fails, then he will mutate and gain success in time or he might extinct. Unless he able to migrate and find friendlier environment for him.

If people exposed to bad environment (subjective), they might die or mutates to suit the environment.

In practical life, the same rule seems applies. For someone’s evolutions, we could take a part as one of the environment variable or even play our part as environment chooser.

If we able to place our subordinate (like our children, or our team member) in a proper environment or we play our part personally as a good environment, we might see them grows and mutates to a better, stronger man who could then survives a degraded environment and could decide when it is time to migrate to another environment.

We should not forces an environment to anyone but put direction for them to suitable environment, and this would be a unique matter, different case for each individual.

Choosing environment early would gives us chances to monitor and “migrate” our subordinate to other environment in which we judge able to provide optimum expected behavior mutation which lead to successful evolution.

However to play our part successfully, I believe there is no choice but we must be personally ‘near’ to our object, whether it is our children or our subordinate. You know what I mean.

Had been troubleshooting for one day without result, I decide to take backup of the problematic stations and the rest of the station, also take capture of the network configuration and user customs setting on those stations. Then I disconnect those problematic stations from networks, restore disk image from another working station to the one with problems. Restore the network and user custom configuration, restart and reconnect the stations to network.

And as expected, the problem’s gone, everything works!

This is the approach we usually do: we call it result oriented.

Do we then ignore the root cause and walk away? not quite, as we understand that just in the next corner we might face the similar problem, but for now we move on for the sake of progress.

After getting complete log files and descriptions of the problem, I click the Google Desktop shortcut, enter some description, and not too long, I got the solution. This problem once happens a couple years back and there already some resolution and conclusion. So I mail the solution steps and receive some feedback. On the next day I come confidently to that site and having a nice handshakes and congratulation words.

There are several giants helping me this time; my three years old and growing Outlook Mailbox, the internal discussion forums from which my mailbox get mails, my five gigabyte reference documents and project files. And last but not least: Google Desktop the desktop search tool.

My mailbox, the forums, those documents, and the search tools are there by the efforts of thousands persons, together they are giants, they are growing and walking. What an honor and so much luck for me to stand on their shoulder.

Yet, so great is the knowledge base it won’t very much useful without the proper tool. There come Google Desktop unifying and indexing those knowledge together.

There are many desktop search tools around, but this one come with the simple web based interface we are so familiar with, plus you get a nice side bar and cool gadgets.

Doing a Budgetary Drill mean you have a structured expenses list with the priority tag. Knowing what to cut when hard time come. Able to measures how long you will survive with minimum income or even without income.

To measure your survival time in financial point of view will include activities such as managing your assets and then arranging level of your assets liquidity.

Budgetary drill would be effective when we also have a proper financial plan.

As you might familiar with safety drill in your work environment, let’s not forget to prepare and do drill in our home, of which our assets and those whom dear to us resides.

Safety drill in our home will be customized according to the conditions and environment of our home. Safety drill at home needs participation of all family members living in the house.

Judging on my location and area of living, Out of many drill I pick two that seems to be the most important: Fire Drill and Earth Quake Drill.

Preparation on Fire hazard condition:

1. Identify possible source of hazard (fire from kitchen, neighbor’shouse, etc)

2. How to control fire (from preparing a portable fire extinguisher or a simple fire blanket near fire source)

3. How to escape from fire (prepare primary and secondary escape route)

4. Make sure the escape route are accessible (not blocked and the emergency keys available near the escape route)

5. Prepare an emergency pack near escape route (with medicine, some fresh clothes, flash light, communication device, wallet, etc)

Preparation for Earth Quake hazard is almost the same with fire, the important thing is to go away from house as soon as possible. Therefore the step 3 to 5 above will be used.

When you’re done with preparation, now we need to do the drill, try to simulate several emergency conditions like fire from kitchen, fire in bedroom level 1 or level 2, earth quake while in TV room, earth quake in the night, hazard when family member are separated, etc.

Simulate and discuss any hazard or emergency conditions that might happen, try out to use the escape route. Give direction to family member when to decide to control the hazard or to leave at the soonest.

Do the safety drill periodically and improve your procedure each time. The main purpose of safety drill is create awareness in our family member so that they are prepared for the worst and know what to do to survive.

What is a drill? in our context it mean exercise for a certain condition, which also covers the preparation for such particular condition.
Safety Drill related to exercise and preparation related to hazard or emergency condition which might happen anytime unexpected.

Eventually not only us who celebrate the good weather, many fishes around us chattering in the surface. Yet that is not all, before mid day, a Whale Shark surfacing just around the Wellhead.. a big fish we predict to be 4 to 6 meters long. So gentle and confidence moving around with pride for about 5 minutes.

Too bad we could not take any picture of this amazing animal in the live platform, so here’s a picture of it taken from here.

For the second problem, looks like I have found the solutions; buy used magazines. They are not too old, ranging from two weeks old until several months old, with 90% condition.

The price? it’s a bargain, only 5000IDR, or 0.6USD each. With 50.000IDR I used to only able to read two editions, but now I can read up to ten editions.

The place? The one I know is a bookstore at Pasar Festival Kuningan, Jalan Rasuna Said Jakarta, that specialized in selling used book and magazine, they have quite a lot stocks, of magazines, travelling books, journals like national geography, novels and many other kind of book. The bookstore is on level 2 of the Pasar Festival Building, the same level with the food court.
